With my former colleagues and supervisor from my internship in Italy we jointly founded the association migration_miteinander e.V.. Our main focous is the realization of legal mobility and empowerment of refugees in Europe. Until December 2019 I supported the association also as board member. With my skills I could establish the framework of digital communication and developed also the website which is now taken over by others.
This research project was the first step towards programming. In this period of time I learned and developed valueable programming skills in R which I am still using. Furthermore, I could get a first idea how it is like to work on research projects.
The variarity of tasks in this position started at the support of international exchange students to the accompany of interantional delegations to datamanagement as well as organisation of information events
From a today's perspevtive I just can confirm my feelings during this time. It was a very enriching experience starting form the increased sensibilty for cultural differences towards the better understanding of interational problems from refugees.
My first job at the University started in my second semester and allowed me to gain first working experince regarding website development and designing.
